The time has come to say farewell to the current studio. As sad as it is to leave Urban Salsa's very first studio, it is exciting to be moving to a bigger and better venue! We will be vacating the property at the end of June and hope to have the new studio up an running in July for the start of term 5. The new studio is located in North Parramatta, more details to come in the near future.
Rebecca is a Melbourne dancer and the owner of Blacktie Ballroom. Trained in both ballroom and Latin dancing, she still competes in both. Before dancing Rebecca was a high level elite gymnast. She is always an energetic teacher who is always ready to have a fun lesson. She is excited to jump on the floor and have a dance.
Daniel is the Senior Instructor at Blacktie Ballroom studio. Daniel has been dancing Latin and Ballroom since the age of five. When asked at the age of eight what he wanted to be when he grew up he proudly announced “I’m going to be a professional Ballroom Dancer”. After winning several Championship titles Daniel turned professional in 1995 and has since taught both American and International dance styles. When not running the studio Daniel is also an active social dancer and loves dancing Lindy Hop, Salsa, West Coast Swing, and Argentine Tango.

At Bolly & Soul, we create an inclusive dance space for the wider community to seek and achieve the harmony between mind and body that we all deserve. We run two classes at Urban Salsa. In the BollySteps class you'll learn choreography to a new and exciting bollywood song each week. In the BollyReps class you'll get your heart pumping, fat burning, and muscles toning in this dance fitness based class.

Learn the social steps of ballroom dancing, with or without a partner. Lessons are personal and private, tailored to you, with over 15 dance styles to choose from.
Nicola has been teaching many different styles of dance for the last 16 years, and specialises in getting absolute beginners confident on the dance floor.

Susan from Afro Connection, otherwise known as DJ Mousai, is a kizomba and urban kiz instructor, teaching as both lead and follow, from Sydney, Australia. She has a deep passion for all genres under the kizomba umbrella and has mixed at Afro, Latin and club events. She is also a kizomba and Afro event’s organiser.
Susan is the founding organiser of AACE Festival – Australian Afro Connection Experience, bringing international DJs and dance instructors specialising in kizomba, urban kiz, kiz fusion, semba, kompa, zouk, Afro-fusion, Afro-heels and dancehall. She is also the founding organiser of Saída and Come Together, an event that had Australia’s biggest line up of kizomba DJs and teachers under one roof and one of Sydney’s biggest kizomba socials.
She has DJed and taught at festivals and events locally and interstate, including the SAKAD festival and A.S.K. (Afro Semba Kizomba) Leading Ladies in Adelaide, South Australia; the Sydney International Bachata Festival and the launch of K.U.T.E., Darwin’s first only Kizomba social event. She is also the resident DJ and kizomba instructor at Sydney's Kizomba & Bachata World Parties and has been a regular DJ at Live to Kiz parties.
Susan is also a co-founder of One Love Entertainment Australia, and organiser of Wakanda Vibes – a vibrant Afrobeats and Dancehall experience, which has featured in Sydney and Darwin.
