Having a partner to come to class with would be nice but it's not necessary. We generally have a good balance of leads and follows and we rotate partners during class.
For couples, it is not mandatory to rotate but it's highly recommended as it is vital to learning the lead and follow. In addition, it's a lot more fun and it's a great way to meet everyone in class.
What on earth is Salsa or Bachata?
It's best to dress casually and comfortably. Make sure your shoes are secure on your feet, so slippers, thongs and sandals are not recommended.
For the ladies, try not to wear high heels as they are not designed for dancing and we don't want you damaging them or hurting yourself. If you want to wear heels we have dance shoes on sale at the studio.
It can be very daunting for some at the beginning and this is natural. Be sure to arrive 10 minutes early to allow for the sign-in process and ensure the class starts on time. When class starts, the instructor will introduce him/herself and the class will begin with some basic steps. You will then move onto the partner work where you will partner up with a fellow student. Be sure to bring mints and deodorant just in case.
The beginners course is discounted from $110pp to only $69pp.
